Who fancies a great kids party on the water? Our Sailing Party entails each child having their own super Laser Pico single handed sailing boat
On arrival it’s into the changing rooms (lockers provided) to get into the wetsuits, safety helmets and buoyancy aids
Once everyone’s looking the part it’s outside for a 15 minute land drill to get used to the boats, then it’s on to the water for this truly exhilarating outdoor activity
Children should be water confident to take part, but they don’t need to be able to swim though, as buoyancy aids are provided. And of course our highly trained Instructors are always right on hand in their own boats, so this activity is super safe
The sailing boats can really pick up some exciting speeds when the wind lifts, and this always puts a great big grin on the faces of the children taking part
The kids will be sailing in water 10-15 metres deep at our beautiful Derbyshire reservoir in the Peak District. The location is absolutely perfect for this activity. It’s set on one of the prettiest and safest reservoirs in Derbyshire and the Peak District, and there are some great facilities on site too, including a café and a restaurant. And there are lots of BBQ’s available dotted around the reservoir too, so if you want to bring a picnic or order some party food you can make a day of it. There are always lots of water sports going on, so there is plenty of entertainment to keep the children occupied while having some food
So how about this for a super fun, super healthy children’s party idea? Still thinking a trip to the cinema is up to scratch? No, us neither!
