So you want some excitement eh?!

This is one of our most popular activities. Water rafting in the Peak District is a really scenic yet exciting activity. Come river rafting in the stunning countryside this area is famous for. You might be visiting the area with your family or maybe organising a childrens party? This is a belter for all type of groups, whatever your reason for getting together.

Jump aboard our river rafts based by the River Derwent in the Peak District. This will be an experience you won’t forget.

We’ve got lots of 8 seater rafts just waiting to put a big daft grin on your faces.

The River Derwent winds through 66 miles in the heart of the Peak District, flowing through to Shadlow where it exits into the River Trent. You’ll be rafting through 4.5 miles of Derwent water between Darley Dale and Matlock Bath. To keep things interesting we’ve split this section into two parts as follows

The Upper Section
After setting off from from our premises, you will be rafting through the stunning Derbyshire Peak District. You’ll be rewarded by sights of the rolling hills that give way to the rivers many twists and turns.

This section provides a decent chance to practice working as a team before having a crack at the lower half.

Hot day? Fancy cooling off? Go ahead – jump in and float next to the raft for a bit. Have a swim around if you like. Belly laugh stuff!

The Lower Section
This is where you get to take on the Derwent rapids. Small grade whitewater means you need to stay sharp as you take on rapids named Town Falls and Flip Bridge. The skills we’ve taught you in the upper section will now be put to the test.

Gorgeous scenery awaits, you won’t have seen Matlock from THIS angle before. While you’re paddling through the Wind Tunnel you get the chance to look up at the famous High Tor Cliff where you can spot the rock climbers.

After the activity we’ll take you back to the starting point in our mini bus, where you can get changed and dry!
